FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Q 1: When will my tank rust out?

A: Never, our ROTEX Sanicube tank is made entirely of plastic high impact resistant polypropylene (PP) with foam insulation.

Q 2: Will my tank drip water from a pressure relief valve?

A: NO. Our ROTEX Sanicube tank is an “unpressurised” tank. It does not have a pressure relief valve.

Q 3: Do I shower in the water that has been heated directly by the gas heater?

A: NO. The ROTEX Sanicube tank is a combination of hot water storage tank and an instantaneous heater. This means that the actual heat is not stored in the domestic hot water itself, but in the unpressurized storage tank water which is clearly separated from it.

This ensures that the ROTEX Sanicube consistently provides hygienic hot water.

This storage tank water is filled once at commissioning time and serves only for heat storage. It is never exchanged or consumed.

Q 4: Can I add solar to my ROTEX system?

A: YES. The ROTEX Sanicube is perfectly suited for solar input. This can provide solar input to both domestic hot water and hydronic space heating from within the ROTEX Sanicube.

Q 5: What products do Rotex use?

A: Domestic products from Rotex Australia include hot water packages, pool heating and hydronic heating equipment.

Q 6: What are my choices of a heat exchanger for my home?

A: Sanicubes come in capacities of 300 litres and 500 litres. They also can be linked together to produce just the right amount of capacity for your needs.
